In this workshop, Peter will be discussing the ins and outs of submitting stories to literary journals as well as the process of curating a short story collection to submit for publication.

Peter Kispert is the author of the debut story collection I Know You Know Who I Am (Penguin Books, February 2020), an Elle Magazine Best Book of the Year and O, The Oprah Magazine Best LGBT Book of the Year. His fiction and nonfiction has appeared or is forthcoming in OUT magazine, GQ, Esquire, Playboy, Electric Literature‘s Recommended Reading, The Carolina Quarterly, Slice magazine, and elsewhere. He received an MFA from Indiana University, where he was a fiction fellow, taught undergraduate fiction writing workshops, and served as editor-in-chief of Indiana Review. Peter is currently an assistant editor at HarperCollins Publishers and American Short Fiction. He lives in New York.
